working insulating plasters with a type G4 plastering machine

PLASTERING MACHINE

  1. Remove guard over the cell wheel so that a sufficient quantity of the extremely light insulating plaster is able to enter the mixing pump.

  2. Fit anti-dust unit including vacuum cleaner or select alternative machinery equipment which reduces the formation of dust when filling with the material.

  3. Fit XERAL TEC PP screw pump, together with the XERAL TEC NM remixer onto the mixing tube; a mortar-pressure gauge is to be fitted to the outlet of the remixer (NW 35).

  4. Insert XERAL TEC MW 180 insulating plaster mixing shaft.
Note: The capability of the XERAL insulating plasters with the above-mentioned machinery equipment is tested. The use of other machinery configurations is the responsibility of the processor.

  5. Connect water to the top water connection of the mixing tube; set water quantity / input to approx. 450 – 500 l/h according to machine and plaster; the consistency of the insulating plaster is to be checked and adjusted before connection of the mortar hoses.

  6. Continuously check the pressure output of the screw pump during working; should only a low mortar pressure be built up (< approx. 5 bar) it can be assumed that the screw pump is worn and has to be replaced.

PREPARATION OF WORKING

  1. Mortar hoses: As a rule use 35 gauge mortar hose; a 25 gauge hose may only be used for the last 5 m; XERAL insulating plasters are tested for a hose length of 18.3 m (13.3 m NW 35 and 5 m NW 25); it is recommended that this hose length not be exceeded when working XERAL insulating plasters with a type G4 machine (closed system); the use of longer mortar hoses is the responsibility of the processor; essential extensions should only be made with gauge hoses.

  2. Flush hoses on the water connection of the plastering machine with water.

  3. Use spray head with ball valve; spray nozzle 14 – 18 mm depending on compressor rating.

  4. Check mortar consistency without hoses. For this purpose underlay the outlet of the pressure manometer with a sheet; run the plastering machine and adjust consistency.

  5. Connect plaster hoses and air hose to the plastering machine.

WORKING

  1. The insulating plaster is always sprayed from the bottom to the top.

  2. When working the insulating plaster observe the information in the respective technical fact sheet.
